Veterinarian
Dr. Kassie Wilcox grew up in Midland, Michigan and developed an early passion for science, advancing medicine and caring for animals. These interests naturally led her to pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology at Michigan State University before obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois.
Following veterinary school, she completed a small animal rotating internship in Tampa, Florida, where she gained extensive hands-on experience managing complex cases across all specialties. She has 5 years of experience in Emergency Medicine, caring for critically ill and injured pets and helping pet owners through the most stressful moments in their pet’s lives. Her experience in Emergency Medicine has given her a unique perspective on the importance of preventative care, early diagnosis and proactive health management. This is why she is passionate about client education and preventative medicine to help each pet live the healthiest life possible.
She enjoys working closely with pet owners to develop personalized care plans that support each individual pet’s health. She is committed to providing compassionate, low-stress veterinary care to make every visit a positive experience for both pets and their families. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys running, practicing yoga, being outdoors and exploring new places. She also loves to spend time with her husband and their Siamese cat.
She is thrilled to join the Indian Trail Animal Hospital and Pet Forward team! She is looking forward to getting to know the Charlotte community, meet her new patients and help pets thrive in every stage of life.
